Say…you are excited about an idea you have had that ultimately would make you feel good about who your are, or your financial situation or maybe even a relationship and you put some effort into this new idea that has you excite and it even starts to show some positive signs of maybe this idea will pay off for you.

Then you share it with those close to you and they are less than enthusiastic about what you are trying to achieve and tell you everything that will go wrong or maybe even everything in the past you have done wrong.

And every moment they get to put down your excitement  – they do.

A small snide remark here, bringing up past mistakes there – what do you do?

Do you give in (mentally) and agree that yes it is all my fault and why bother, this person who loves me so much and cares for me must surely be right.  That I can’t possibly make this idea work, so just give up.

And then say…months later you get another exciting idea and you run with it and you have some promising signs of it coming to fruition and again you share it with those close to you, and again they tell you that you couldn’t possibly achieve what you are aiming for, and again tell you everything that will go wrong, and everything wrong you have done in your life.

And again – do you give in (mentally) and agree that yes it is all my fault, why bother, they must be right, and again you give up the notion that you could succeed at anything other that what those closest to you want you to achieve.

Does this story sound familiar in any way shape of form.  If it is, let me tell you, you are definitely not alone.  We all at sometime or another in our life will heed to the negativity of others.

And here is the start of YOUR CHANGE.

Now you know that you have allowed someone else, no matter how significant they are in your life, to manipulate you, to sway your opinion, to believe that there is no possible way you could ever succeed at anything.  NOW YOU KNOW!

And with that knowing you are able to make changes or continue to do what you are currently doing.

So the question is do I want to change or don’t I?

If you do it is quite possible that you may find it easier in your journey to change to just blame the other person for why you have never achieved the level of success that you so much desire – BUT….

(Now you are probably not going to like the next part, but when you can finally accept the next part of the message you will find yourself FREE from the comments made by others)

….you are the one who made the decision to listen to someone else’s opinion, you are the one, who over and over again seeks the approval (for what ever purpose) of someone else.  You, no one else, just you.

We are all conditioned, to some degree to seek the approval of those that mean the most in our lives, that is just human nature.  BUT we also have to right to CHOOSE, whether the opinions of others will affect our lives positively or negatively.

Live your life, for yourself – not to please someone else, because ultimately you will fail to live up to their expectations.  Live your life, for yourself – not to please someone else.

Well that’s all I have got so far but I will keep adding to this list every day until I have my 101…this will be fun  

I have been thinking for some time to do this list and I have procrasted in part as to not actually put pen to paper so to speak to at least make it more tangible.  This list has given me purpose to do things and to think things and to give me focus of things I want to do with the rest of my life now my son’s are their own persons.

So from today and I am going to write a list of 101 things I want to do before I am am too old which in my mind will be by 2016, and I wrote this list in no particular order but will do so once the list is done.  I am not going to limit myself to what I can’t do because I am sure there will be many people who will do that for me.  So for now I am inspired by I want…and I will.  And believe me I WILL!

So here we go…

1. Bungy jump off all he AJ Hackett sites around the world

2. Want to sky dive in NZ and France

3. Wan to run the City to Surf in Sydney

What was it that I wanted.  Then it dawned on me while I was walking (I get a lot of ideas when I walk) that I would like to run a marathon, and I thought about this some more and thought well I have already run a marathon, the Coast in Coast in Auckland, New Zealand some many years ago. Then I thought I would really like to run the City to Surf in Sydney, Australia, which coincidently was happening today.

Did you know the City to Surf is the biggest land race in the world some 80,000 people ran the race today

Anyway like I was saying I would like to run the City to Surf, then I thought some more and thought I ought a make a list of 101 things I want to achieve before I turned 50 and then my mind started to race thinking about all the things I would do.

So before this week is out I will have my list of 101 things I want to do before I turn 50.

It’s good to be focused, and to have things you are passionate about to strive for.  So I challenge you all to do the same make your list, don’t edit yourself with the what if’s or I can’t, just make your list and together we can work through it to pick out the top 101.

Why are they correct, because these people BELIEVE it, whole heartedly, unequivically BELIEVE IT to be true for them.  And because they believe it to be true, they see evidence of it day in and day out when they lose focus on losing weight, lose on wanting the new car, lose focus and getting that new partner.

And why do they believe it…LIFE LONG HABITS.

It’s extremely important that you understand that YOUR HABITS will determine your future – for the good or the bad.

The great news and you all already know this is that you can reprogram yourself any time you choose to do so.

You just have to make yourself a NO EXCEPTIONS RULE (more on that rule at a later time)

He’s the kicker – if you want to live a better lifestyle understand that YOUR HABITS  will determine your future.

OK, so I’ve rambled on abit and you really only want to know HOW, right.

Now we all

When I talk about ‘Anything is Possible’, I am usually barraged with the usual negative comments from people who believe that if anything was possible then they would be a millionaire, or a movie star, a famous singer or be admired by people all around the world.

And my response is usually always the same – who says it’s not possible?

Is it your partner who’s stopping you?

Or maybe it’s that school teacher who said you’d never amount to anything

Maybe it’s your parents?  The next door neighbour?   Is it your boss?

Maybe it’s because you don’t wear the right clothes, have the right car, live in the right neighbour as the reason to why you don’t believe anything is possible.

Or maybe it’s because you have wanted and wanted and wanted for so long and those possibilities just didn’t come your way, so since they didn’t come, the statement ‘Anything is Possible’ is just full of baloney.

It’s not uncommon for people to feel this way because life experience (that is to say the life they have experienced so far) has proved this to them.

Not realising that – there is NOTHING outside of you…not your parents, not that teacher, not your circumstances or lack there of…that can stop what you want coming to you.

The only thing that stops you…is YOU.

If you believe that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE….then it is true for you

If you believe someone else or something else is the only way to that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE – then you will always live the life you are currently leading.

Anything is possible – IT HAPPENS FROM THE INSIDE OUT!

Why aren’t I rich?  Why aren’t I better looking?  Why don’t I have the perfect relationship?  Instead I’m stuck with this lame, unfulfilling job, I fat and everyone hates me and I can get a boyfriend/girlfriend to save my life.

We understand that over time you have applied yourself to achieve these things, doing everything, that everyone said you should… being in the right places, learning the right things, saying and doing the right things, having some success but for the most part not getting what you really desire…so you say to yourself – Life seems so unfair!

So lets take a step backwards and look at where you have come from, why life seems this way to you.

When you first started out on this journey of achieving success it was mostly about satisfying the needs of others more than your own because those “others” were the ones that laid out these so called rules for success and you accepted them because they came from people who you sort approval from: your teachers, parents and even your mentors and they were confident and convincing  in laying out these rules for you to play by.

Some of these rules consisted of sayings like; “always be honest, remember to work hard, go that extra mile, never give up, do the work that others won’t do, no gain without pain”

You found that over time, trying to satisfy to expectations of others, those who gave your the rules to play by just wasn’t working for you no matter how hard you tried.

And what was worse was when you looked at those who gave you the “rules” to success, they, for the most part didn’t have real success either.  But no, that wasn’t really the worse part, the worse part for you was that you began to meet people who were achieving success without using the “rules of success” that you had been so earnestly applying.

So you start wondering – Life is so unfair.

I’ve been doing everything I was told to, I have followed the rules, I listened to the right people, I got an education, I’ve been doing all this “action” with little or no result to what I want.

How is it, that some people, work so little but achieve so much?

How is it, that a high school drop out can become a multimillionaire?

Why aren’t I getting the “fruits” of my labour?  Why aren’t I successful?  Why aren’t I beautiful? Why are many getting rich while most of us struggle to bearly get by?

And then we come back to the beginning – Life seems so Unfair.

But I will say this, it has been a blast putting it together, it’s a complilation of many hours of interviews with people who share their barriers, are given a session on LOA by me, then given a task or several to do.  I re-interview them some time later and you should hear what happens nexts…sometimes so funny, so inspiring,  just so ‘ding dang’ awesome.   (I know you’re saying to yourself-what’s with the ‘ding dang’ – just trying something new!)
